Rachel Chu is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in aesthetic services. She has 15 years of healthcare experience, ranging from hospital and home health to medical aesthetics. Rachel began her career in cardiac nursing and progressed through orthopedics, pediatrics, long-term care, and clinical management.
She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina in Charlotte and her graduate degree at Western Carolina University. Rachel is very passionate about helping patients reach their personal goals. She believes balancing physical and emotional wellness are essential for optimal quality of life. With her extensive experience and philanthropic spirit, Rachel consistently delivers exceptional care and impeccably beautiful results. Rachel enjoys spending time with her husband and four adopted pets. In her free time, she loves to go hiking, camping, and traveling.
After growing up in the suburbs of Washington D.C., Paula attended the University of San Francisco and earned her Bachelor of Business Management degree with a concentration in Marketing. Over the past 15 years, Paula's professional career has included Management and Medical Billing and Coding in Dermatology, Plastic Surgery, Internal Medicine, and Pediatrics. During that time, she had the honor of assisting a Physician and personal role model in opening her first private practice. A task that, while grueling, is still one of her fondest accomplishments, thanks to the core values and personal bonds that hold true for her and the other women involved.
This broad range of exposure afforded Paula a unique perspective of the healthcare industry. It also provided her clarity into the type of practices she wanted to be a part of and the type of people she wanted to surround herself with. Paula joined Biltmore Restorative Medicine & Aesthetics in 2017. As the Practice Manager, she oversees Business Operations and Patient Relations. She is committed to creating an environment in which patients feel not only comfortable, but seen and heard.
It is a privilege to work in a practice that brings the human element back to medicine. Some Patients refer to her as the "Resident Therapist" because she will always give her time, her ear, and her heart when someone needs it. She is proud to work side by side with some of the most incredible humans and is grateful she found what feels like home at Biltmore Restorative Medicine.
When forced to put the keyboard down and step away from the desk, Paula will likely be found having a nice meal. Yes, she is a foodie. Often attempting to get the perfect photo for an IG account she barely keeps up, while a hungry husband rolls his eyes in the background. Her home life revolves around three unruly dogs that can do no wrong and a husband she insists on challenging to arm wrestling contests she will never win. Paula's favorite kitchen tool is the cast iron skillet. However, she'll never admit how she cleans it for fear of being permanently banned from the south.
Patient Care Coordinator
Katie is our Patient Care Coordinator. She manages incoming inquiries, offering valuable insight into our services and supporting prospective patients throughout the establishment process. A cusp-millennial armed with only the quintessential liberal arts degree and a penchant for customer service, Katie had no background in the medical field when starting this position in 2018. However, she soon discovered a real passion for both regenerative medicine and the progressive notion of individualized care. Her giving love language is 'Acts of Service', and this is clearly demonstrated in her dedication to making the new patient experience both easy and exceptional.
Outside of work, you will likely find Katie in her garage reimagining and refurbishing old furniture as her adoring husband looks on, fondly recalling a time when he didn't have to park his car in the driveway. She also covets doing absolutely nothing in her time off, much preferring lazy porch-sits with her partner, her two incredible step-kids, and the 100lbs. of pure love that is their dog, Maeby.
