At Biltmore Restorative, we are focused on optimizing your health, beauty, and overall well-being. We do not believe in a “one size fits all” approach.

We understand that each and every patient has unique and specific wellness needs. This is why we are excited to add new methods to test and treat your concerns in order to help you look and feel your best.

These new tests include neurotransmitters, food sensitivities, and vitamins/amino acids.

NEUROTRANSMITTERS: imbalances can result in depression, anxiety, ADHD, fibromyalgia, insomnia, weight issues, adrenal dysfunction, memory impairment, migraines and more

When important parts of your body’s communication system (neurotransmitters and hormones) aren’t working as well as they could be, you can develop a variety of complaints that reduce your quality of life.

Recent medical surveys report that eight out of ten people are found to suffer from neurotransmitter imbalances…resulting in depression, anxiety, ADHD, fibromyalgia, insomnia, weight issues, adrenal dysfunction, memory impairment, migraines and more.

We can now easily test your neurotransmitters and hormones (serotonin, dopamine, GABA, norepinephrine, epinephrine, glutamate, PEA, cortisol and DHEA) via a saliva and urine sample. Once we receive the test results, you can consult with a medical provider and receive suggestions of how to balance your neurotransmitters.

FOOD SENSITIVITIES: Providing you with knowledge of your food sensitivities plus personalized nutritional guidance may make you feel like a million bucks!

You can react to foods in many different ways. Those reactions may be severe and cause anaphylaxis, hives, swelling of lips/tongue, shortness of breath, etc.

This is an Ig-E mediated allergy, which is what most allergy panels check for. These reactions are rarer… and most patients are keenly aware of them due to their severe nature.

You can also have subtler food reactions (also called sensitivities), with vague symptoms such as fatigue, difficulty concentrating, bloating, weight gain, nausea, indigestion, constipation/diarrhea, headaches, rashes, joint pain.

This is called an Ig-G mediated  reaction, and it is quite common to find at least one food sensitivity, if not more.  We can check 87 different food sensitivities! Providing you with knowledge of your food sensitivities plus personalized nutritional guidance may make you feel like a million bucks!

THE IMPORTANCE OF VITAMINS/AMINO ACIDS

We all know that diet and nutrition are vitally important for a healthy mind and body. However, we also all know that the American diet usually does not adequate amounts of the nutrients and building blocks our bodies need.

As much as you may try to eat a healthy diet, you could be deficient in one or more vitamins, minerals or amino acids…which could cause variable symptoms such as fatigue, mental fog, weight gain, muscle loss, hair/skin/nail changes, gastrointestinal issues, etc.

With a simple urine sample, we can check for those deficiencies of antioxidants (vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin E), B-vitamins (thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, pyridoxine, folic acid, cobalamin), minerals (magnesium, manganese, molybdenum, zinc), digestive support (pancreatic enzymes), and amino acids (arginine, asparagine, cysteine, glutamine, glycine, histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, serine, taurine, threonine, tryptophan, tyrosine, valine).

After analyzing any deficiencies in the above, we can suggest diet and supplementation recommendations.
